Join

Welcome! We are glad you are interested in joining our homeschool support group.

How to Join:

  • Membership is open to all homeschoolers and interested persons. You may apply for membership at any time.
  • Those who wish to join must first fill out our membership form (Click here to go to PBCH Membership Application) Since we can’t meet you in person please let us know if you personally know one (or more) of our members so that they can verify who you are. Otherwise, we may request to chat with you via a Zoom video meeting. We realize this may be inconvenient, however, we need to uphold the integrity and privacy of our members and their children.
  • Our annual dues are currently $21 which can be paid online.
  • Once you join you will receive an E-mail confirmation which can be used for educator discounts at various locations. You will also be provided with access to our private Facebook as well.

Events, Sports, Classes, and Activities:

  • Events will be posted throughout the year, many of which are for group members only. Some events are online and hosted through Zoom. We have begun to add outdoor events as well.

Volunteering:

  • Because our group is led entirely by volunteers we ask all members to volunteer at least once per school year.
  • Members can host an unlimited number of events, classes, or activities.
  • Volunteering can be as simple as helping someone else put together an event, or inviting the group to join you at a park or other location.
  • Feel free to contact the Board to offer to take on larger responsibilities within the group.

Behavior Requirements:

We realize that kids will be kids and do not always behave at their best.  Therefore, we ask members to:

  • Step in and/or notify a child’s parent if a child is behaving inappropriately in our group.
  • Encourage all of our children to be kind and welcoming to others and encourage them to let an adult know if there’s a problem with another child that needs to be handled (since adults don’t always see everything).
  • Let the group leaders know if there’s a problem with inappropriate behavior that hasn’t been handled properly or is ongoing.

Park Meetings:

  • Park meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month, from 10:15 am to noon at  Commons Park , 11600 Poinciana Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
